Creativity is the process of solving problems in the mind. While we commonly associate creativity with works of art, in a broader spectrum creativity is simply the act of forcing the mind to think outside the box in hopes to find a solution. This process, to me, is similar to the growth of a tree. Most seeds do not take root, but a tree has hundreds of seeds at its disposal. Like the tree our minds have a near infinite potential of ideas within it. Once a seed takes root, or an idea comes to mind, it is up to us to experiment/discover the possibilities this single idea can take. Nurturing the idea can vary from a simple sketch to a deeper more detailed demo. While our minds can expect a potential result of our creative solutions, more often than not our ideas take a slightly different route. I often root this idea with the potential of a tree. Each person who has seen a tree can expect a sapling to become a tree; we can even imagine what it would look like. Realistically though, the sapling when fully grown, will not look the tree you imagined in your head, it will still look like a tree but it will never be the exact one you initially imagined.
